Abstract:The application of the iterated defect correction (IDeC) techniques to linear constant coefficient differential-algebraic equations (DAE's) of arbitrary index and nonlinear semi-explicit index one DAE's is analyzed. The convergence behavior of the defect corrections based on the linearly implicit Euler method is studied using the perturbed asymptotic expansions of the global error.
