EXACT SOLUTION OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL LOTKA-VOLTERRA EQUATIONS

In the note the solution to the two-dimensional Lotka-Volterra equations in quadrature is obtained. It is shown that the transformed system is the Hamiltonian one, phase portraits are closed curves surrounding the elliptic fixed point of the system and the dynamics of the system is of periodic nature. The formula for the dependence of periods of ``motion" on the initial data is obtained.
