Some new extended modificatoins of stationary iterative methods for the solutions of systems of linear equatios have been introduced and their relations with other methods have been investigated. The convergence properties of of the proposed methods have been analyzed and compared with some classical and modified methods existing in the literature by using graph theoretical properties and spectral radii of the iteration matrices. Some numerical results on the application of the classical and modified methods to various linear systems have been presented and the effectiveness of the modified methods have been discussed.
