In this thesis, we investigate the geography problem of simply connected, spin, symplectic 4-manifolds. In particular, a family of simply connected, spin, non-complex, symplectic 4-manifolds which realize all but at most finitely many allowed lattice points $(\chi_h,c)$ lying in $0 \leq c \leq m\chi_h$ is constructed, where m is close to 8.76.
